Joel grew up in Amish country in Ohio, surrounded by high-quality, handcrafted products that inspired a passion for outdoor living spaces built to last. After years in the landscaping industry, Joel saw a need in the Upstate market for structures and furniture that combine durability, beauty, and easy installation. That vision led to the creation of Outdoor Elements Co.—a resource for homeowners, contractors, and designers looking for premium outdoor solutions.

Today, Joel manages sales, project coordination, and partnerships, ensuring every client receives the perfect structure or furniture for their space. Charis helps with business strategy and creative direction, keeping the brand focused and connected to its mission.

They recently had their first son, Brooks and love watching him grow. Outside of work, Joel and Charis enjoy traveling, discovering local food spots, and spending time with their family. You can often catch them on a Friday night making pizzas in their wood-fired oven or tracking down the best hole-in-the-wall restaurants in town.
